I could imagine, that Alex acts cold as ice when he talks to his father the first time, because he was extremely disappointed about his behave... But I'm also sure that he will forgive him after a little while, because he waited for seeing his father and he won't, when he finally found him, be an angry idiot (I'm sorry for this word...). I'm sure there will be a lot of things to ask for Alex, for instance why he didn't contact him, why he left him without a sign, and also details about his present time. Let's see

4th Chapter, The Australian Connection
Dani and Alex have their first disagreement. When they saw some penguins standing in the spotlight, watched by a big croud of people, they have diffrent opinions weather that is good or not.
Alex thinks, the penguins don't really enjoy being stared by all those people, and then Dani says "...I thought you liked being in the spotlight"
Alex gets her wrong with this and answers in a little aggressive way.
For me, this wouldn't be a reason to stop talking to each other.I think Dani could have react in an other way. But after talking about it, they both took it with humour, and, in my opinion that's the most important thing in such an situation.

2nd Chapter, The Australian Connection
Alex first 66 houers- I think, they are like WOW
Well, i have to admit that i was shocked when I read that his father is on taht place Alex came from. But I think it's okay to take it if you spend such a nice time in Sydney.
Alex is extremly lucky that the family he lives with is so nice and, especially, the neighbour;-)
If I was him, I would be very happy to be there and keep this awesome day with surfing, meeting new people and playing the guitar in mind like a diamond.

3rd Chapter, The Australian Connection
On top of St. Mary's Peek, Alex and his cousin Kevin talk about Alex father Tom. Kevin wants to tell Alex some thongs about his fathers life, he tries to describe the way he is, but these are not only nice things. As Alex hears some things, he is envious of his fathers new, happy family.
Why is life with this family so much better than life with Alex and his mum?
I don' really understand what the pgrase "... let him see how he likes it", so I'm not sure why he said so,but I can imagine that he is a bit defiant.
"he" is definetly Tom. Maybe he means it's exiting for him to see weather his father likes him or not?

My opinion to chapter one, The Australian connection
my first impresion after reading the first chapter of "the australian connection" is, that this might be a very grippy and interesting story. I think the text is good and easy to read, and I'm looking forward to going on with reading. What will happen to Alex next? I'm gonna find out!
